Despite the fact that I really wanted to go home after a long night at work, I headed over to vote. It was only about a 40 minute wait but well worth it to do something people before me worked so hard to make possible for me...
I stopped and got the mail on my way in and got a wonderful surprise from my friend Jamie! I opened up the padded mailer and saw this:
In it were pictures of her bachelorette party, a birthday party we'd gone to, and some random fun times in college. It was like a little time capsule had found its way to my mailbox :). It was great to see friends I haven't seen in years and even more wonderful that she would go to all that trouble for me...what a great buddy :).
